Optical nTAP, Two-Channel, 62.5µm, MM, LC, 50/50 split ratio.

The Two-Channel Optical nTAP includes a connection to either side of two full-duplex links under test, and two standard full-duplex analyzer connections. Optical nTAPs support gigabit single-mode, gigabit multimode, and 10 Gb multimode traffic. LC connections are standard.

Network Instruments Optical Fibre nTap - 2 Channel

  • Copies traffic from one full-duplex optical link for one optical monitoring device
  • Connects to the full-duplex link under test and an analyzer equipped with a dual-receive capture card
  • Available in both gigabit and 10 gigabit configurations

Network Instruments Optical Fibre nTap - 2 Channel Deployment

Optical nTAPs split the full-duplex signal from the network into two signals, sending one signal back to the network and the other signal to the monitoring device, which is required to be equipped with a dual-receive capture card. Signal split ratios of 50/50, 60/40, 70/30, 80/20, and 90/10 are available to support your network requirement.

Every nTAP works with the leading security and network management tools, so you can easily deploy them throughout the network. As with all nTAPs, optical nTAPs are transparent, allowing you to monitor critical links without data stream interference. And by installing nTAPs, you never need to bring the link down to connect a monitoring device.
